So we planned a day full of skating at the spot, stuff for tricks, a flea market, tattoos, drinks, and food — as the foundation for a get-together to celebrate this silly little culture of ours.<br /><br />In the end, that’s exactly what it turned out to be. The weather was perfect, and it was sick to welcome locals, friends, and people who took long-ass drives just to hang out for a day. Thanks to the support of local skate shops and companies, we were able to give away boards, trucks, wheels, and other stuff to kids and hand out drinks in exchange for donations..."

Leo Heinert, Brandon “Bonestalone” Bonner, Caroline Duerr, Eugenia Ginepro, JJ Colõn, <br />Jefferson “Yiyo” Obando, Blair Alley, Richie Löffler, Rodrigo Cabrejas & our Taiwanese filmer FIVE <br />touched down in Tokyo in episode 1.<br />The timing was perfect as the cherry blossom season kicked in full gear the first day we hit the streets. There were literally Sakura trees blooming every where you looked. Leo Takayama from Osaka was our guest skater for the tour. We linked up close to our hotel at a nearby plaza with perfect marble blocks. After a full session on the Aka Banks in Asakusa we crossed the bridge to Setagaya at the golden hour where Bonestalone snuck by security and knocked out the first NBD of the trip with a lofty ollie over a 14 stair. As well despite the shit weather, Taipei still provides on the spots without fail. Boat trips are hands-down the best way to go surfing — especially when you’re exploring remote island chains, like in the latest Maps to Nowhere adventure. Of course, boat trips come in all forms — from ultra-luxury mega yachts to… well, whatever it was that Ian Crane, Winter Vincent, and Beau Cram ended up on for this journey.<br /><br />“It’s like we’re camping,” Crane said. “On a boat.”<br /><br />“It took a bit to get used to,” Vincent added. “Tight living spaces. I woke up looking at Beau’s face every morning. But once you settle into it, boat life is sick.”<br /><br />The trio endured days of travel — planes, ferries, cars, buses — just to reach their starting point. From there, they spent more days motoring through atolls, islands, and reef passes, scoring no shortage of empty, perfect waves. Launching 7/30/25 at noon PST on blockheadskateboards.com<br /><br />In this video we took influence from the 60’s skate film Americas Newest Sport and had a blast banging around some trash cans in the streets and the schoolyards.<br /><br />Revolutionary de-evolution, styled as if it’s from an alternate time line…one where the steel and clay wheel boards of the 60’s evolved in a different direction but the style remains in this classic surf shape.<br /><br />It’s a bit shorter with a shorter wheelbase for even more zippy turns. With it’s 11 inch width paired with narrower trucks it handles super surfy!
