Introducing Dan Mann's balanced fin template, the Firewire Manncave Fin Set.<br /><br />Designed to be versatile in various wave types and board types, the Manncave is a balanced template that sits firmly in the rake world with a slightly more pivot-oriented outline. This is Dan's go-to fin that he uses to test all of his new shapes from grovelers up to long guns - it's the variable he keeps constant during R&D. For Dan, a good fin template makes sense for both drive down-the-line and pocket maneuvers, and the foil has to be perfect (foiled both front to back but also base to tip).<br /><br />This fin set is constructed from a traditional fiberglass layup, offering a familiar and welcoming flex pattern underfoot, closer to glass-ons. The Venturi Effect on Earth happens when wind is forced through a smaller or narrower space, causing it to move faster.<br /><br />Air behaves like a flowing fluid, just like water in a river or a hose.<br /><br />When the path becomes tighter - such as between mountains, through valleys, or between tall buildings - the same amount of air has to squeeze through less space, so it speeds up.<br /><br />At the same time, the air pressure in that fast-moving area becomes lower.<br /><br />A simple example is wind blowing between skyscrapers in a city.<br /><br />Even if the wind feels mild on one street, it can suddenly become very strong in a narrow passage because the buildings funnel the air together.<br /><br />The same thing happens naturally in mountain passes, where winds can become much more powerful as they are compressed through the gap.<br /><br />You can compare it to placing your thumb over the end of a garden hose.<br /><br />The water comes out much faster because the opening is smaller.<br /><br />The atmosphere works in a similar way when Earth’s terrain or structures force air into tighter spaces.<br /><br />For more information, read the following article:<br />https://www.surfertoday.com/environment
