My phone rings. I look down and I see Elijah's name on the screen. Within the first thirty seconds he drops the small talk and asks me if there was any room at FORMER. This wasn't the call I was expecting but didn't really need to give it much thought. I asked him what his goals were and what he wanted to do at the brand. He said he wanted to continue to skate his ass off and make the best video parts he can make. He added that he'd been thinking a lot about who he wanted to ride for, and he couldn't imagine riding for anyone else.<br /><br />As one of the co-owners and co-founders of FORMER, that is exactly the sentiment we like to hear. Everyone on the team right now clearly understands not only who we are as a brand but why we exist. We're here to support our friends, support their visions, make films, travel the world and do whatever the hell we want.<br /><br />I told him I would chat to the team and get back to him. Two months later…here we are. We've got a welcome section, a full Elijah merch collection in development and a new member of the family that we are extremely proud to have along for the ride. On May 15th and 16th, the fourth edition of SNT4EVER Fest took place in the neighborhood of Sants, Barcelona.<br /><br />Seven years ago, the SNT Forever association was created to defend and preserve Plaça dels Països Catalans – AKA Sants – one of Barcelona’s most iconic skate spots. Since then, the festival has grown into a yearly gathering focused on skate culture and community, featuring photo exhibitions, video premieres, workshops, talks, family and kids activities, collage and architecture workshops, and much more.<br /><br />This year’s edition included two full days of skateboarding, with special guest Leo Valls, the premiere of Exist by CHPO, and many local video premieres celebrating the Barcelona scene.<br /><br />More than a festival, SNT Forever Fest is a way to show that the Sants skate scene is still alive and still fighting for the future of the plaza. Secret and the squad go hard “from AMs to PMs” covering ground all over Mesa, Arizona with a bit of ASMR to enjoy along the way.<br /><br />Following a warm-up session at a once street spot recently remade into a small plaza with purpose built skate spots, Secret takes her tricks to the streets to stack a quick clip under a bit of pressure. After another stop in the streets for her homie Cassius “Cash” Booker to flick, the temperatures hit 96º so the crew went to one of the legendary KTR skatepark facilities in Chandler, AZ to keep putting in reps.
