Celebrate the life of the legendary Trent Riley with Treasury. <br /><br />Trent had the curtain closing part in Treasury, a Brisbane video that premiered on March 19 at Parliament Skate Shop. The part speaks for itself – a testament to Trent’s natural talent, work ethic and humble nature. Trent’s wild Natas spin at an iconic Brissy spot also earned him the cover of our 2021 Autumn Edition. <br /> <br /> <br />In circumstances that no one could have predicted, Trent Riley went missing less than a month later while fishing alone off the Port of Brisbane in his little boat, ‘Lydia’. His family and friends, along with the Queensland Water Police and countless other volunteers, conducted a huge search effort, but two weeks later, Trent was still missing and the search was called off. Since then, tributes flooded social media. <br /> <br /> <br />The disappearance of Trent Riley has left a massive hole in the Australian skateboarding community, but through his part from Treasury, and a tribute in our next issue, we continue to celebrate the life of a legend. <br /> <br /> <br />Filmed and edited by Harry Pascoe. <br /> <br /> <br />Photography by Curtis Hay.

Stu Gibson was awarded the 2021 Nikon Surf Photo of the Year Award, while Spencer Frost was awarded the Nikon Surf Video of the Year Award.<br /><br />Held in partnership with Surfing Australia, the industry-recognized awards provide a national platform to celebrate the work of local surf photographers and videographers.<br /><br />In its ninth year running, the submissions were judged by a panel of thirteen high-profile individuals within the surfing industry, including seven-time world surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore.<br /><br />The judges were tasked with selecting the best of the best surfing photos and videos submissions based on the below criteria:<br /><br />1. Innovation and creativity;<br />2. Dramatic effect and sensory impact;<br />3. Uniqueness;<br />4. Chef Alvin is a huge fan of Bob’s Burgers, so we were happy to bring him on to help craft the Burgers of the Day!<br /><br />THE HARD-VARTI FLIP BURGER (WITH HAVARTI CHEESE) <br /><br />Top Bun, Havarti Cheese Crisp, Roasted Tomato, Caramelized Onions, Burger, Butter Lettuce, Mayo, Bottom Bun <br /> <br />Sprinkle havarti cheese directly onto a non-stick pan set at 375°. Cook it 2-3 minutes on each side and don’t worry if it’s a little messy when you flip it. The trick is it to let the havarti cool down for 30 minutes before adding it to the burger. Now, cook the burger. Salt both sides and place it on the griddle heated to 350°. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes, until nicely caramelized. When building the bun, add lettuce and butter mayo to the bottom bun and place the burger on top. Add the caramelized onions and roasted tomatoes on top of the burger.
