Canadian river surfing collective Surf Anywhere teamed up with the University of Ottawa and the Alberta River Surfing Association to develop a series of ten different standing river waves.<br /><br />The research results will be publicly revealed so that anyone can create their own DIY river wave anywhere in the world.<br /><br />Surf Anywhere wants to expand river surfing and promote the development of artificial waves in inland environments.<br /><br />The 3D wave channel project features a multiple kicker system installed on the bottom of the river to shape the desired wave.<br /><br />There will be ten different types of artificial river waves:<br /><br />1. Perpendicular wave;<br />2. Bowl wave;<br />3. Left or right bowl wave;<br />4. Oblique wave;<br />5. Oblique to perpendicular wave;<br />6. A-frame wave;<br />7. Perpendicular wave with pile using attack kickers;<br />8. Wave with pile using attack kickers at the end of the channel;<br />9. Bowl outside of channel;<br />10. Chef Alvin is a huge fan of Bob’s Burgers, so we were happy to bring him on to help craft the Burgers of the Day! <br /><br />BIG SPIN-ACH BURGER <br />Top Bun, Burger, Baby Spinach, Garlic Aioli, Gorgonzola Crumble, Tomato, Bottom Bun <br /> <br />Cooking Instructions:<br />Start by preheating your grill to 350°. Before slapping the patty on the grill, salt both sides to help bring out the natural meat flavor. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until nicely caramelized, then flip. Add fresh cracked pepper to just the cooked side of the patty. Now, start prepping the bun while the meat is cooking. Place the tomatoes directly onto the bottom bun, followed by the gorgonzola. To help keep everything in place, blanket the gorgonzola with the garlic aioli. Put down the spinach, then place the cooked burger on top.
