The Big-O was originally a support for a bride. Skaters found it and began skateboarding it.
At some point, the local town needed to repair the bridge and planned on destroying the Big-O in order to do so. Skateboarders worked with the government to have it moved instead of destroying it.
In 2013 the Big-O was permanently moved and open for skaters to visit as often as they'd like. The Big-O now resides in one of Montréal's most attractive park districts alongside stadiums, a planetarium, and multiple world-class gardens.
