Stay Gold is the follow up to Emerica's This Is Skateboarding released in 2003. It includes most the team from that time and a few cameos as well. Similar to This Is Skateboarding, Stay Gold uses pseudo-psychedelic special effects in the intro, credits and between skater scenes.
Andrew Reynolds seems to have mapped out every massive stair set and gap worked to see what's the hardest trick he could land down it. The start of Jerry Hsu's part is silly and chaotic as you can see how challenging it can be to film a part for a skate film. Lero Romero's part is smooth and stylish making it look as though he's barely trying. These are just a few highlights and as you could expect from Emerica, the skateboarding is solid all throughout.
