There's a lot of hype around Jacob Rosenberg's new book(s), and for good reason. It's a massive package that takes a deeply personal lens to San Francisco's Embarcadero scene from 1990 to 1993—some of the most influential and progressive years for street skating. I wanted to have a semi-brief chat with Jacob before his big exhibition opens in San Francisco on November 21. I didn't want to give away too much of what's in the books, but more-so wanted to show why it's a must-have, the amount of care and attention that went into it, and just to shoot the breeze with a guy who filmed some of the most important video parts to date, and is always a pleasure to chat with. Clement LeGall is one of the top skate photographers out there. Originally from a small town in France, he skipped Paris and went straight to the coast. When he is not traveling around the world shooting photos, he is living the good life in Biarritz, getting up early to surf or catch a skate session himself. As a part of our Biarritz issue, we shadowed Clement in his daily life (and when we say "shadow", we mean literally sleeping in his spare bedroom for two weeks straight.)
