The most entertaining surfing you’ll watch this week will not be at the Banzai Pipeline, a wave pool in the Middle East, or a tiny island in the middle of the ocean. In fact, it will be in one-foot Virginia Beach slop for Stab Highway’s second annual “Worst Heat Ever.” Six pro surfers, fifteen minutes, one-foot waves, no priority, top three waves count. Length of ride, paddle battling, and claiming are heavily rewarded. At the sound of the final buzzer, we’ll tally points and sending a team packing. What more could ya want?
