Ruud, 23, is a five-time X Games medalist (4 in Ski Big Air), but he missed Aspen 2021 after testing positive for COVID on-site and Aspen 2022 because of a minor knee injury. He’s medaled in his five most recent X Games Big Air starts, took gold at the 2022 Winter Olympics and owns the most career World Cup Ski Slopestyle/ Big Air wins (13) in history. He's also the 2023 World Champion for slopestyle (bronze in big air). In addition to skiing, he competes in “Death Diving” competitions, which are popular in Norway: Competitors fling themselves off of towers and are judged on everything from degree of difficulty to style to the size of the splash. This fearless attitude serves him well on the Big Air jump in Aspen. Ruud is also an accomplished snowboarder (he can triple cork!), and he snowboards in Alex Ferreira's latest Hotdog Hans video. Ruud loves fashion and has tons of bling, inspired by hip hop culture. He published his first autobiography in 2023 called, "The Art of Flying."
