Well, about five years back, a small group of dedicated big-wave charging females set out to demand equality in their sport. The trajectory of Latin American skateboarding as a global force began with the Brazilians, but in the last decade almost every country in South America has contributed its verse to the song: Jhancarlos Gonzalez from Colombia, Milton Martinez from Argentina, Mathias Torres from Chile. Angelo Caro is Peru’s first professional skateboarder, and he is absolutely superb. <br /><br />The streets of South America are quick teachers when it comes to not falling, and Angelo has been on a rocket ride of progression over the last few years. Bells Beach – For decades now, this southern region has been a pilgrimage for so many Aussie surfers.<br /><br />What was originally a several-day road trip down the coast, has now morphed into a possible quick flight and even a splash in the wave pool, if this tickles your fancy.<br /><br />Times may have changed things on land, but those deep Southern Ocean swells keep coming and forever rolling their way down the reef.<br /><br />Winter Vincent is yet another young surfer making his first real Bells pilgrimage and cutting his teeth in the cold.
