At Australian surf shops now, and landing globally throughout February, the Volcanic Cymatic is laminated with basalt fibers extruded from volcanic rock.
This new Volcanic lamination creates a performance characteristic similar to carbon laminations in terms of weight, flex and response. But because the fibers in basalt are derived from organic raw materials, and then combined with bio resins for a finished vacuum lamination, it creates an eco alternative to using traditional carbon fiber cloth and standard epoxy resin.
