A commentary celebrating the 20th anniversary of Dan Magee and Adam Mondon’s classic British video First Broadcast, which was released in 201 and featured riders from UK brands Blueprint, Unabomber and Organic. Featuring Dan, Adam, Colin Kennedy, Paul Shier, Nick Jensen and Vaughan Baker as well as some surprise easter egg guests. <br /><br />Some words from Tom Pickard, who approached us with the idea, organised the project, came up with questions, hosted and filmed the commentary and edited the film:<br /><br />"Blueprint Skateboard’s full-length video 'Lost & Found’ was released in 2005 on DVD and was a huge success and solidified Blueprint’s place on the worldwide map of skateboarding.<br /><br />Four years before this, the video ‘First Broadcast’ was released on VHS, a Blueprint video that featured Unabomber and Organic (which became Landscape) riders as well as countless skaters across Great Britain at the time. The tone was dark, gritty and very, very British. It seemed to me that this video was overshadowed by the success of L&F, so I have always wanted to highlight how important this video was to British skateboarding twenty years ago. Lots of things were changing at the time, skaters leaving, new skaters getting on, some moving stateside, some not, new companies starting and the filming of skate videos was rapidly developing.<br /><br />Watching American skate videos was always inspiring to me, but to see guys skating a Currys car park or some stacked wooden crates lit up by generator and lights was the real catalyst to get out there and skate and film our local spots and to venture into the capital. <br />This is a real homegrown classic with lots of stories behind it, enjoy!"<br /><br />Special thanks to Tom for all his work. As with many breaks, surfers at Uluwatu often push eachother deeper and deeper at the take-off zones until it becomes impossible to actually make the wave. This is when it pays off to sit wide, like local surfer Mega Semahdi in the second clip. Although this strategy doesn't always work, if you're patient you can sometimes have a good amount of unridden waves come through with no one else to compete for them.<br /><br />The waves were excellent at Uluwatu on this day, especially for December. Durante el año suceden un montón de cosas en el skateboarding mexicano, pero lo que sin duda más disfrutamos, es la parte en la que salen las video partes, ya que son la labor más loable de un patinador, así como el documento que muestra fielmente su progreso y a su vez el de la escena nacional, por esta razón y basado en nuestra trayectoria como medio de comunicación, nos vemos en la necesidad de crear una presea que incentive a todos los patinadores activos coronando a uno como el patinador del año y con esto promover la creación de video partes, por esa razón este podcast decidimos de manera pública los finalistas para que posteriormente sean votados y llegar a un veredicto final.

The SeaWing integrated solution combines kite technology with an automated flight control system developed by the aerospace industry to harness the power of the wind.<br /><br />Safe, clean, reliable, and compact, the system can be used easily by virtually any commercial ship to reduce emissions and fuel consumption by an average of 20 percent.<br /><br />Software<br /><br />The control interface enables automated operations and monitoring of Seawing from the wheelhouse.<br /><br />The EcoRouting solution, allows the ship to benefit from weather opportunities to maximize fuel savings through advanced Digital Twin technology, a route optimization algorithm developped by Maxsea, which optimizes the ship's route according to the weather forecast while maintaining the planned ETD and ETA, as well as user-friendly procedures, adapted to real ship operations.<br /><br />Hardware<br /><br />The SeaWing hardware consists of three parts:<br /><br />The bridge equipment oversees the operation and monitoring of Seawing and the EcoRouting system.<br /><br />The deck equipment enables the automated take-off and landing of the parafoil wing. It consists of a mast, trolleys, winches, and a storage space.<br /><br />The wing is pulled out of the storage by the trolley system before inflating at the top of the mast for take-off.<br /><br />The flying equipment, which includes the parafoil wing, a flight control pod, and an umbilical cable, controls the automated and optimal flight of the wing.<br /><br />The wing is linked to the pod, which is connected to the ship via the umbilical cable, handling traction, transferring data, and providing power to the pod.<br /><br />During the flight, the pod steers the wing to maximize the system's power and ensure safety.<br /><br />Installation<br /><br />AirSeas' SeaWing technology requires minimal deck space and is bolt-mounted, making it easy to retrofit during a short port stay.<br /><br />It does not interfere with cargo operations, is not limited by height restrictions, and can be installed on virtually all ship types.<br /><br />Parafoil Technology<br /><br />The mission is to harness wind power, and two unique features allow it, enabling over 20 percent fuel and GHG savings.<br /><br />SeaWing flies at an altitude of over 200 meters to harness steadier and stronger winds.<br /><br />SeaWing flies dynamically on a figure-of-8 trajectory at over 100 km/h, which generates 10 times more traction power than a static kite or sail.
