Four world bodyboarding champions paddled out for the first time at the 2021 World Cup Gran Canaria Frontón King, in Gáldar, Gran Canaria, Spain.<br /><br />Pierre-Louis Costes, Amaury Lavernhe, Tristan Roberts, and Dave Hubbard faced a local fleet of riders determined to beat the best bodyboarders on the planet.<br /><br />Local charger Borja Granados put on a superior display of wave riding with a total two-wave score of 13.60.<br /><br />Samuel Brito, Javi Domínguez, Lionel Medina, Guillermo Cobo, and Néstor Pérez also proved that the Spanish armada will not lower their guard.<br /><br />The wave of the day, though, was ridden by Javi Domínguez, earning him 8.17 points, followed closely by Isaac Rodríguez with an 8-point ride.<br /><br />El Frontón is widely recognized as one of the most challenging bodyboarding waves in the world, attracting experienced athletes from all corners of the Earth.<br /><br />It is one of the three gems located in the region's "Golden Mile," which also features La Guancha and El Agujero.<br /><br />The delta-shaped, volcanic-influenced bathymetric characteristics are similar to those found in Teahupoo (Tahiti), Arica (Chile), and Shark Island (Australia).<br /><br />El Frontón, also known locally as "La Bestia" (The Beast), produces a large mass of water that breaks and explodes over a reef and in front of a cliff.

Spots must be alternated when in command, so you cant pick the same spot two times in a row. Defence has 2 tries and 3 tries on the last letter.
