Looking at Max's footage they picked a few beats that Chuck had made over the years and created a sound design that would weave in and out of the tracks, using pre-recorded sounds as well as bits from some of the actual skate clips. The result is pretty weird and unpredictable but also quite hypnotising. Kind of like Max's skating really...

Customised soundtrack includes tracks : Sergeant Assume, Strawberry Jam, and Don’t Slip Banana
Music and Sound Design: Chuck Palmer aka Anonymous Elder
Recorded, Produced and Mixed at Frontside 180 Studios
Additional Music Editing: Max Palmer
Additional Music on Sergeant Assume: Arian Saleh
Frontside noselide, Atlanta. CONGRATS ZOI! Following up a bronze medal-winning performance at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, in 2019 New Zealander Zoi Sadowski-Synnott unleashed what could easily be described as the gold standard rookie year. At her first showing at X Games Aspen in January, she cemented her proclivity for excelling under pressure by taking home silver in big air and gold in slope. In February, she bested the field at the World Championships. In March, she stood on top of the slopestyle podium at snowboarding’s favorite contest, the Burton US Open. And then she headed back home just in time to graduate from high school. In short, Zoi exploded onto the scene and won everything in 2019. And her peers took notice. 2016 Women’s ROTY. Jamie Anderson was more than impressed, stating, “Zoi is an absolute badass! Good results, good riding, and a lot more to come from that!” 2017 Women’s ROTY, Kimmy Fasani agrees. “Zoi is leading the charge for the next generation,” commented Kimmy. “She has sick style and strong, progressive riding.” Many of the voters in this year’s Rider of the Year Awards specifically noted Zoi’s style and deep bag of tricks. Mark McMorris, 2016 Men’s ROTY and contest veteran, added, “She does everything so proper.” While Sage Kotsenburg said, “Zoi has an INSANE switch back nine.” Zoi’s prowess made waves far beyond the contest circuit with riders of all stripes taking notice of her breakout season. Mayor of the Wasatch, Griffin Siebert said, “Zoi is on a whole other level when it comes to board control and style. Really enjoy watching her compete.” Travis Rice noted that “Zoi Dominated some of the biggest events in snowboarding!” With an ever-growing bag of tricks, a consistent landing gear, and now a high school diploma, Zoi is poised to increase her trove of medals in the coming seasons, though we’re sure that the podium is only the start for her.

For the latest from Snowboarder Magazine check out:
https://www.snowboarder.com/
Facebook - https://sbdr.co/Facebook
Instagram - https://sbdr.co/Instagram
Twitter - https://sbdr.co/Twitter
YouTube - https://sbdr.co/YouTube

Congrats Cooper! Esteemed representative of The Dust Box, Cooper Whittier opens up the SNOWBOARDER’s Everybody, Everybody, with a four-minute part. In it, Cooper shuts down spots both archetypal and avante garde, proof positive of his distinct style of snowboarding that is technical, loose, and inventive. In his opener the Maine-born rider sets the tone, not only for the entirety of the movie and for what we should expect from him in the coming seasons, but for where street snowboarding is at when it comes to the rising generation. It is clear that Cooper is in the vanguard of up-and-comers with his first video part, an offering worthy of a rider who has been doing it for years. Fellow Everybody rider, Phil Hansen, agrees, commenting that Cooper “filmed the best part of the year on his first part, ever.” 2020 Short Film of the Year headliner nominee, Austen Sweetin also recognized Cooper for his opener, noting that, “He went huge, hitting technical rails with style.” Nial Romanek and Eddie Wall provided their two cents, offering that “Cooper had the sickest urban video part of the year,” and “The rail game is strong in this young Jedi,” respectively, while Chris Beresford put into words what many in the ROTY constituency were thinking, saying “The kid simply has it and is the future.”

For the latest from Snowboarder Magazine check out:
https://www.snowboarder.com/
Facebook - https://sbdr.co/Facebook
Instagram - https://sbdr.co/Instagram
Twitter - https://sbdr.co/Twitter
YouTube - https://sbdr.co/YouTube

Back by popular demand, the Manchester XLK redefined the skate shoe model in the mid 2000’s. The design was the opposite of the market at that time, yet it had everything a skate shoe needed. It was a simple design with a streamlined silhouette and seamless toe. Minimizing the panels reduced seam blowout which created a more durable skate shoe. A basic concept that still holds true with today’s skateboarding. A nod to the past with modern technology. We are welcoming back two original colorways from their first inception in 2004.

Shop the Manchester XLK here:
https://www.lakai.com/collections/all/products/manchester-xlk-white-gum-leather-ms1200200b00

Filmed by Tanner Cudney
