With Upper Decks, SNOWBOARDER is providing our readers with insights, images, and other details culled from putting a handful of new terrain park performers through their paces for five days of jibbing, jumping, and carving amongst the freestyle features of Aspen Snowmass, Colorado. Providing the action and impression of the top park boards in stores this fall are former Forum pro and prolific video part protagonist, Eddie Wall and 2019 MS Superpark Standout Emma Crosby alongside the SNOWBOARDER Editorial Staff. This is SNOWBOARDER's take on the DC Ply.

DC’s pedigree of performance park boards is point proven by the professionals that ride them season-after-season: Torstein Horgmo, Sebbe De Buck, Iikka Backstrom, Justin Fronius. While these riders’ preferred terrain is as varied as their style, in every instance DC’s decks provide the platform for each to drop in and do what they do best. For nearly three decades, DC has created purpose-built boards to enhance on hill creativity no matter what and where you ride. The Ply is testament to this freestyle mentality: a skate-influenced, team-designed deck that takes all-mountain versatility and applies it to the park. In order to achieve a skate-like feel on snow, DC loaded the Ply with Lock & Load camber: traditional camber between the bindings paired with elongated contact points toward the tip and tail which hits the sweet spot between lots of pop and ample pressability. The snappy and responsive ride of The Ply is enhanced by DC’s Stratus Core, coupled with the smooth and consistent flex of Biax Fiberglass. The bottom line is, if it’s good enough for Torstein, it’s good enough for us.

For the latest from Snowboarder Magazine check out:
https://www.snowboarder.com/
Facebook - https://sbdr.co/Facebook
Instagram - https://sbdr.co/Instagram
Twitter - https://sbdr.co/Twitter
YouTube - https://sbdr.co/YouTube

This is SNOWBOARDER's take on the Salomon Gypsy.

The Gypsy has been a staple in Salomon’s line up since 2010, and for good reason: as Desiree Melancon’s board of choice, the Gypsy strikes an ideal balance between response and playfulness. This means that when it comes to park laps, the Gypsy provides; it is stable for jumping and smooth for jibbing, plus its Quadrilizer sidecut can handle high-speed carves. Salomon’s Rock Out Camber profile contributes to this balanced board feel; it is flat between the bindings, cambered near the feet, and rockered on the tip and tail, a trifecta that combines stability, agility, and pressability and is perfect for the freestyle set. The carbon stringers of the Popster Booster core further enhance the Gypsy’s pop, so both olleing and pressing are energetic and easy. The bottom line is the Gypsy is a true all-around park performer.

For the latest from Snowboarder Magazine check out:
https://www.snowboarder.com/
Facebook - https://sbdr.co/Facebook
Instagram - https://sbdr.co/Instagram
Twitter - https://sbdr.co/Twitter
YouTube - https://sbdr.co/YouTube

This is SNOWBOARDER's take on the Burton Talent Scout.

Over the past half-decade, Burton’s Talent Scout has emerged as a daily driver for ladies who charge on hill, due to its all-mountain approach to freestyle sensibilities. Developed by Burton’s pro team, the Talent Scout is a no-holds-barred, traditional camber true twin designed for the park that performs from take-off to landing and of course, everywhere in between. It’s highly responsive and solidly reliable in all conditions, from hardpack to spring slush. Imbued with Burton’s Women’s Specific Triax flex pattern, the Talent Scout is both quick and nimble and smooth for pressing, while remaining stable when jumping. It’s truly the full park package, which explains why nearly every member of the Burton women’s team, from Chloe Kim to Kimmy Fasani, straps into this board when they’re dropping into features.

For the latest from Snowboarder Magazine check out:
https://www.snowboarder.com/
Facebook - https://sbdr.co/Facebook
Instagram - https://sbdr.co/Instagram
Twitter - https://sbdr.co/Twitter
YouTube - https://sbdr.co/YouTube
