Broc Raiford follows up his "Passageways" video part with a similar yet different approach... This time taking things to the plethora of sidewalk spots that most just cruise by while on the way to the session. Broc sniffs out the road-side gems from LA county to Santa Ana and delivers just as you'd expect. <br /><br />"Once again I had no idea what I was getting myself into when Zach and I dove back in to start filming for another themed Odyssey Project. With a handful of sidewalk spots already in mind and an optimistic mindset I chose to film an entire video filmed on spots found only on sidewalks! Not only that, but I wanted the spots to be ridden as if you would be riding them on your way to a skatepark or wherever you’re headed. We had our ups and our downs with finding spots that fit these guidelines but overall I am more than stoked on how it came out! Zach did an amazing job filming / editing and I’m excited for you all to see it. Volcom is honored to work with legendary visual artist Mike Giant for the release of a new Volcom “Featured Artist Series” capsule on July 22, 2019. A relationship that started with an amazing art show in collaboration with New York’s Morning Breath at the Volcom Garden in Austin, TX, last year, has grown into a global release of this iconic artwork.<br /> <br />The capsule, which features Mike’s work on long and short sleeve tees, a pullover hoodie and skull fit beanie (all only black & white, of course), marks the twenty-fourth year of Volcom’s Artist Series, a series that has been responsible for some of our most sought after tees over the years.<br /> <br />Mike Giant is a legendary draftsman, proficient in numerous realms of visual art, including tattooing, graffiti, skateboard graphic design, printmaking and drawing. The lack of color in his work stems from his color blindness, however, rather than being limited by a paired-down palette, Mike has learned to expertly use bold linework to create an illustrative style immediately recognizable as his own.<br /> <br />His influences are readily visible in his work, but he has distilled them into something wholly unique. All Mike needs to create a design is a Sharpie and a sheet a paper—no eraser needed. Skill can be taught but you can’t fake style. Mike’s got both, in spades
