Paul, Philipp and I spent a lot of time together over the last 3 years. We were together alone though, we had the clan, our brothers our sisters our Kameruds!

Our first trip to Copenhagen three years ago really pushed us in the right direction. We ended up living together at some friends house in Christiania, there we would spend our days on our boards, Paul would have his camera in his hands… ready to go.

It was this kind of energy and atmosphere we wanted to retain and we managed to do just that during these last 3 years. We just kept the idea for this project in the back of our heads and slowly worked it out, no pressure. We ended up making „Kameruds” to show and transport the experiences and feelings that we felt while making it.

Because of those experiences, we would like to dedicate the video to all our friends!

As the “fuzzi collective” we tried to present the Nuremberg scene with Visions & Energy so we could create movement in the city.

We tried through Skateboarding, videos, & Fotos, we also tried by organizing Gatherings or by pouring concrete, all for the LOVE!

Zack Flores is as unique a surfer as you’re likely to find. Not only has he been building his own boards for 8 years, experimenting on the fringes of foam and then putting his craft to the test on a high level, but he’s also often riding those boards going switch. Crazy, right?

In the clip above, Flores test drives a few of his favorite handshapes in Mexico in truly ambidextrous fashion, riding them switch for the entirety of the trip. From a 5’3” twin fin fish (“I figured we’d be getting barreled and this board gets the job done”), to a 6’6” single fin pintail (“Rides like a skimboard, because I like to slide”), to a 7’0″ gun/shortboard hybrid (“A shortboard but with a huge nose”), Flores’ boards are an interesting bunch, but they obviously work, at least guided by his own feet (regardless of which one is forward).

As a surfer and a shaper, Flores cuts out the middle man. He can shape a board, test a board, and then jump right back in the shaping bay, able to put his field notes to foam immediately. “Every board I make is pretty much a new thought,” says Flores. “I use what I learn from each board to benefit myself on the next one.”

Filmed by Matt Paul and @endlssea
Edit by Alex Kilauano

There is one important thing you need to film a part: a filmer. Of course you can film each other but usually, the result is the best when filmed by a person who devoted himself to the task. Flo Deger has been filming skateboarding in the Rhein-Main area of Germany for a long time now. While working a full-time job and taking care of his family, the only way to make it work was to go for a Sunday session. And this is basically how this part came about. Literally, every trick in there was filmed on a Sunday. This might even make this part holy in a way. To us it is as we cherish what Pierre Masek & Flo Deger put together out of the pure love for skateboarding. Enjoy!

Guest tricks: Matthias Ellinger, Fabian Michel, Marcel Reimer.
Titles by Fabian Michel
Filmed & edited Flo Deger
Additional filming: Bennet Rahm
Photo: Johannes Schön

Get our books & apparel collection here: https://pocketskatemag.com/shop/

Feel free to subscribe to our channel and follow us on Instagram:
http://www.instagram.com/pocketskatemag

Our Website:
http://www.pocketskatemag.com
