In 2017, Volcom partnered with Econyl® to launch the first ECO-TRUE Simply Solid collection. Econyl® creates a regenerated nylon yarn from discarded fishing nets and other waste that pollutes our oceans. These “ghost nets” are estimated to kill around 300,000 marine animals each year. From concept to creation, our design team worked tirelessly to ensure our style and fit remained uncompromised while working towards our #1 goal, sustainability. As a brand, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, focused on creating more sustainable, and someday, recyclable products.
