The new Linda Vista Skatepark is one of the biggest and best skateparks in the country and includes the first full pipe in San Diego skatepark history. For my latest video part, I thought it was time to get back to some round-wall but as as it turns out, I fell in love with the full pipe. I’d only shot with Brent a few times but when he said he’d be down for a Linda Vista project, it was on. Usually a skate piece is edited to a pre-laid track. This time we flipped the process. We sent the edited piece to DJ Z-Trip and he cut the track live while he watched it. It took some work but I’m thankful to all who contributed and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. Thank you to Ride Channel and Tony Hawk for providing the platform and the inspiration. In the summer of 2017, Simon was in a terrible car accident resulting in a shattered pelvis and multiple fractures throughout his body. What would have put some people out for years didn't even set Simon back an entire year. 10 months later and he is back on an absolute terror. Watch Simon rip some backyard pools in his first skate edit back since the accident.
