"I first met Keith on a Deluxe demo in Santa Cruz. I got flown out from Oklahoma straight to a demo. Shit was surreal. Keith’s skating is powerful and graceful. Dude has so much pop and skill, two really good attributes to have in your bag.<br /><br />Filming for Roll Forever were some of the best times of my life. I was just a teenager still learning how to skate but I was just hucking my life away off any gaps or stairs and trying my luck on handrails. Traveling the States with the coolest posse.<br /><br />Riding for REAL while Roll Forever was being filmed was like seeing REAL kinda in rebuild mode. Adding a few new kids on the team, and a few older guys started new company’s. "I met Keith on a REAL trip through Arizona and New Mexico. 1993. It was Sal, Julien, Sluggo, Mandoli, Klindt, Bird, and Jim I believe. Keith has always had a great push and a heavy duty ollie. <br /><br />Filming for Non Fiction was just one of those experiences where you would try to chip away at a part everyday, trying tricks over and over till you would get it. It was fun when they got us all together to skate around. Lots of the early team members still around from that video.<br /><br />Riding for REAL back then was great time, having Jim and Tommy in the van, a pretty neat mix of different personalities and skating. I’ve always appreciated that about REAL. There is no carbon copy for their team riders. It's a very "do you" approach. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. Huf has been around REAL since practically the beginning. "The first time I met Huf was in LA on a short trip filming for REAL to Reel. His skating makes you feel cool, that's the best way I can describe it. Big pop, fast skating.<br /><br />Filming for REAL to Reel was rad. The team was so small at the time and filming with Wolfe and Morf was a trip. <br /><br />Riding for REAL back then was awesome. Mickey was still TM at that time so trips were pretty crazy. I was also so young and timid at that time.
