When we found out our friend and master switch flipper, Alan Chou was coming to town we knew we had to get him in on a 100 Kickflip Challenge. After picking up Alan we drove to a scenic spot and he immediately started furiously flicking switch flips. Once we got the camera on him it was smooth switch flipping from there on out. Alan explained how numerous ankle injuries over the years gained him extra flexibility in his ankles. Alan claims this helped form his ninja kick style switch flip. We think Alan is a freak of nature but it works for him and looks DAMN GOOD! With temperatures upwards of 110 degrees, we were lucky enough to start our Go Skate Day indoors at the new 91 West Skatepark and then as nightfall came we headed to Union Hills park in Glendale for a bunch of skate contests, free pizza, a water balloon fight, and an epic product toss! Huge thanks to Emerica, Deathwish, Baker, Mob Grip, Molly Water, and everyone who came out and contributed to this year's event.
