Etnies - EST. '86 | Chapter Two

Etnies realized skateboarders buying Pro basketball shoes did nothing to support skateboarders or the industry. The up and coming shoe brand set a precedent for shoe companies moving forward, sponsoring skate legend ‪Natas Kaupas‬.‬

Skateboarding has always been in a perpetual state of progression which means the Berrics must also be in a perpetual state of creating progressive content if we have any chance of surviving this cyclone of confusion and heartbreak called the world. With new companies popping up every month, other companies infiltrating the space and old companies going out of business, there are THE companies that have continually influenced the culture of skateboarding, inside and out. They've weathered every storm and stomped their own footprint into the concrete jungle of skateboarding history. They are the established brands without being the Establishment. This is etnies.
