The AK pedal uses a full-bushing system, which allowed us to take up the space where a loose ball bearing would sit, and just enlarge the axle, making it almost indestructible. We have so much faith in the strength of the spindle that we offer a full LIFETIME GUARANTEE against the spindle breaking or bending under riding conditions, and will offer a full replacemnet spindle should you do so. The AK pedal uses a fully replaceable Nylon/Fibreglass pedal body with a larger platform than most to give your foot ample room to feel comfortable, no matter where your foot lands.<br /><br />What makes the AK pedal so special is that the replaceable body is universal and fits left or right side, so if after time you have grinded down one side of your pedal; simply switch it for the other pedal and you’re good to go again. We offer affordable replacement pedal bodies separately, so if you’re off on a trip, simply throw a spare body in your bag. Much like a plastic peg sleeve, you can be riding on a fresh pedal in a matter of seconds for the fraction of a cost of a regular pair of plastic pedals.

The final stop of the DC Hit & Run at Whistler-Blackcomb, BC last weekend. The event combined the speed and turns of a traditional banked slalom with the trickery and skills of a slopestyle and pipe event. A rider’s ultimate goal was to get down the course as fast as they can while being judged on three freestyle features (40ft jump, rail section, and a mandatory 2 hit pipe run). The Whistler course was steep with deep smooth bowl turns that had the 80+ competitors more managing their speed than milking for speed. This week we decided to break in a classic, just to make sure we can still call it a classic. Spoiler alert: This shoe is still rad. As good as ever, the Janoski is one smooth operator. We had our main man Chris Klich slip on a brand new pair in black suede, which is arguably the most skate-able colorway/material combo of all time. After a few grinds and a few heavy slams, Chris gave these bad boys the thumbs up yet again. So in case you live under a rock and have never skated a pair of these, we recommend getting them on your feet fast. The second stop of the DC Hit & Run went down in Meribel, France last weekend. The unique course challenged 80 competitor's overall riding skills with speedy banked turns, the Super Pipe, a rail section, 30ft+ jump, and a giant step-up toilet bowl gap feature that had everyone’s cheeks flushed with excitement. Competitors rode fast, enjoyed the sunny weather, cold beers and French alpine air. The final stop for the Winter 2016 season will be at Whistler, BC next weekend, March 26th-27th.
