Today we celebrate Vancouver, BC native, Ryan Decenzo, and his best moments of 2014. Ryan joined the SLS Nike SB World Tour in 2013 after qualifying in the Select Series, and he was looking pretty good for his second year in the League.<br /><br />Things were off to a bit of a slow start for Ryan at the Monster Energy Pro Open and Stop One: Chicago, where he finished 19th. But Ryan bounced back strong at Stop Two: Los Angeles, finishing fourth overall, crushing every obstacle in his path and skating super consistent. This boosted Ryan up to a 12th place overall finish for 2014, and showed that each SLS content is really anyone’s game!<br /><br />We’re excited for Ryan’s return in 2015, and look forward to him bringing that Los Angeles energy with him.<br /><br />Catch up with Ryan’s 2014 Season story by purchasing the entire Season on iTunes. With razor-sharp coral reef, hidden caves, and heavy conditions, Pipeline is recognized as one of the most dangerous waves, and much respect is given to the athletes that brave the fast, steep drops.<br /><br />However, surfers aren't the only ones putting their lives at risk at Pipeline. A team of highly skilled rescue personnel known as the North Shore lifeguards, are constantly immersing themselves in the most dangerous of situations in order to ensure the highest level of safety as possible.
