To help explain them, meteorologist Lee Solomon and Mavericks surfer Dan Jones, who works for Aerospace and Marine International, are this week's special guests on Off The Lip Radio Show.<br /><br />Meteorologist Lee Solomon is an avid surfer, working as a weather man on Santa Cruz local KSBW TV8. He will be joined by Dan Jones, who works for Aerospace and Marine International and can be found in the lineup at Mavericks.<br /><br />Dan Jones started surfing at 16 years old when he could drive. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree at San Francisco State University in 1997, after studying Engineering at UC San Diego and Meteorology at UC Davis (in a large part, to know when the surf would be good). He was offered a forecasting position under Sean Collins at Surfline, and now forecasts surf and winds professionally (mostly for salvage operations/offshore oil rigs/cable layers and ocean going vessels) with WNI/Oceanroutes from 1997-2003, and with Aerospace and Marine Intl. He has been privately forecasting for surf trips for friends and family since 1994.<br /><br />Off the Lip Radio Show features legendary surfers and skateboarders in their Santa Cruz, California studio.
