Joel Parkinson (AUS), reigning ASP World Champion didn't let four consecutive lay-days slow down his form at the Volcom Fiji Pro today, posting scores in the 9-point-range seemingly with ease thanks to his precise barrel rides and stylish carves. Parkinson defeated fellow Australian Yadin Nicol (AUS) in Round 3, and American young guns Nat Young (USA) and Kolohe Andino (USA) in Round 4 to advance into the Quarterfinals.<br /><br />John John Florence (HAW), posted his second perfect 10-point-ride of the 2013 Volcom Fiji Pro, showing no signs of the injury that saw him miss the last two ASP WCT events. Florence attacked the waves with reckless abandon, locking into deep and heavy barrels and unloading powerful snaps and turns over the shallow reef.
