PAPA's americana-tinged rock'n'roll was on full display in Texas, and the band left Austin with a ton of new fans. Count us at Converse Rubber Tracks Austin amongst them. Led by vocalist/drummer Darren Weiss, the LA-based band's raucous live set in our courtyard was was all grit and soulfulness, equal parts dirty and loud. Young Dreams manage to bottle a particularly buoyant poppy sound in their tunes, and the Norwegian outfit were in particularly summery form in Austin. Away from the wintery confines of their homeland, their harmonies were a perfect fit for Converse Rubber Tracks Austin, where the lush soundtrack of "Dream Alone, Wake Together" filled the studio courtyard on a beautiful spring night.
