The first event of the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour, the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast took place at Snapper Rocks in front of a huge crowd of cheering fans.<br /><br />It was a high scoring affair as the athletes posted 17 different wave scores between the two of them. Parko whipped up a beautiful perfect 10 halfway through the heat and Wilson posted two excellent scores of a 7.87 and 8.80. The first ASP World Tour event of the year, the Quik Pro packed thousands of fans on the sand of Kirra Beach in Queensland, Australia to watch what was promised to be a classic heat in 3-5 ft barreling rights. Parko almost scores a perfect ten, but is cut off by Slater who had priority and is the master of competitive strategy, resulting in a middle finger from Parko.
