The second annual Three Amigos Tour—featuring the 2012 Amigos: Neen Williams, Keelan Dadd, and Boo Johnson—blazed trails through the dirty south on a mucho grande tour that took them from Texas to Florida. (Also featured: Kevin Romar, Spencer Hamilton, Pat Rumney, and Nick Tucker.)<br /><br />The tour went down earlier this year to promote the release of the three Amigo colorways designed by Neen, Keelan, and Boo. The low top Amigo is a favorite among the team because, as Neen said, "It's a thinner shoe. It's really good. I like the board feel and control. Definitely good for flip tricks and I've been loving 'em for ledge sessions."<br />Here's what the Amigos had to say about each of their colorways:<br /> <br />"The maroon color just goes so good with the gum sole, but the Amigo all around is just one of the better SUPRA shoes to skate in." —Boo Johnson<br /> <br />"Being from Los Angeles, I always thought if I ever got a shoe I'd make one that was purple. The SUPRA PRO + AM Collection features four signature pro model shoes redesigned by four different ams. The third installment in the PRO + AM Collection is Lizard King's signature Passion shoe with a Boo Johnson designed colorway. <br /><br />The desert boot-inspired mid top upper is made of a unique, hairy green suede, with a green canvas flap, fluorescent orange accents, padded fluorescent orange mesh lining, and it's built on a gum vulcanized sole with white foxing and an orange pinstripe.<br /><br />"It's my favorite shoe to skate in," Lizard said about the new Passion. "Green's cool, the orange is tight, and I'm super stoked to be sharing my shoe with Boo because Boo is the shit. He's got a lot of passion."<br /><br />"It looks pretty rad," Boo said about his colorway. "I did the shoe with Lizard because he's the man. Ever since the first trip I went on with him, he's been nothing but passion and positive energy. And I got a 'Passion' tat—I got it for the homie—so I had to do this with him. That's pretty much why I picked him and he picked me to be partners in this project. The SUPRA Pro + Am Collection features four signature pro model shoes redesigned by four different ams. The first installment in the Pro + Am Collection is a Terry Kennedy signature Stacks with a Kevin Romar designed colorway. <br /><br />The TK + Romar Stacks features a unique, black, nappy suede upper with burgundy accents, burgundy mesh lining, a PRO + AM sock liner and hang tag, all on a burgundy cup sole with white sidewalls. <br /><br />"The colorway is dope," Terry said about the shoe. "I like the suede, it's kind of like a brush, like an afro almost. When I looked at it that was the first thing that came to my mind: looks like an afro. I've never seen that material before. It's super interesting." <br /><br />"I got inspired by my hair: it's nappy black," Kevin said about the unique suede—now known as nappy suede—he selected for his shoe. "And I had to throw burgundy on there, that's one of my favorite colors. It's pretty much just burgundy and nappy, two things that go good together." <br /><br />Giving Kevin Romar a colorway on a Terry Kennedy Stacks was an obvious pairing since the two hail from Long Beach and have had a long-standing relationship since before becoming SUPRA teammates.<br /><br />"I've known Kevin since he was young," Terry said. "He used to be up there at El Dorado [Long Beach skatepark] all the time just ripping. Always cool, always quiet, always polite." <br /><br />"We've been homies ever since," Kevin said. "And of course it's his shoe—I like to skate in his shoe—so I just had to throw him in the commercial. The SUPRA PRO + AM Collection features four signature pro model shoes redesigned by four different ams. The second installment in the PRO + AM Collection is a signature Erik Ellington shoe with a Spencer Hamilton designed colorway. <br /><br />Spencer Hamilton's Ellington colorway has a black suede upper with black, open cell mesh side panels, fluorescent orange accents, padded fluorescent orange mesh lining, black and orange rope laces, and it's built on a translucent white outsole with a lightweight, speckled black/orange SUPRAFOAM midsole. Each pair comes with a custom PRO + AM sock liner and hang tag.<br /><br />"I've been on a bunch of trips with him," Erik said about Spencer, "and I'm blown away every single time I skate with him. He's one of the coolest, mellowest dudes around and he's always in control and on point. I'm proud to share a shoe in the PRO + AM Collection with him. He came up with a colorway that kills it." <br /><br />"It's just a straight honor," Spencer said about doing a shoe with Erik. "I've always liked what Erik does as far as skating, he has a great personality, great character. I mean his part in the Thrill of it All was probably the first part I ever saw. I used to watch that part all the time." <br /><br />Spencer was vague about the influences for his PRO + AM colorway, but he did cite at least two references that are evocative of his native Canada: the fluorescent orange of a hunter's vest and the net of a hockey goal. "Yeah, you're not getting shot," Spencer said regarding the fluorescent orange accents.
