During the Billabong Pro, a march was held in protest of the Thyspunt Nuclear reactor proposed for this hallowed area of the coast.

The world watched as pros, spectators and locals went down to voice there strong disapproval and the entire Port St Francis chokka boat fleet came close to shore to lend their weight to the march, something never before seen).
