If you're a pro-surfer-type guy in Rio, then you are a sporting deity alongside futebol players and F1 drivers, and thus you are deserving of a presidential motorcade.<br /><br />Such was the case when the Billabong Pro moved from the beachies of Barra de Tijuca to the grassy knoll at Arpoador. <br /><br />A phalanx of RJs finest -- motorbike cops, Mahoney, Tackleberry, Sweetchuck and Hightower, no less -- met our heroes at the Sheraton and gave them a police escort to the other side of town, ignoring all road rules and cutting the kind of corners that would have your everyday Carioca motorist imprisoned for life.<br />{*The Flipcam gets hot-potatoed among the surfers, so not exactly sure who had the shaky DTs on this particular grab.
