The Seaslug Surf Series came alive this last weekend in the South Bay. El Porto, Manhattan Beach that is, and before sunrise there was a line of 30+ cars waiting in the dark for the parking lot gates to open. The light of day revealed that recent run off had formed the El Porto sand bars and along with 2-4ft surf made for psyching Groms that couldn't wait to jump in the water. The rowdy bunch of kids wrestled their way through the day, attacked standout Chris Ward with Muscle Milk, and still found time to surf their heats.
