The opening of the Velodrome Bowl in Oostende built by Concrete Dreams - a Belgium Concrete Skatepark company. Concrete Dreams is a collaborative effort with Brusk Collective, Bruno & sometimes help from Matt Grabowski from Minus Pools. The skate bowl is extremely fun and has a fast flow and pool coping covering a good amount of the bowl. The bowl is only a couple kilometers away from the ocean, so well worth a trip out to coastal Belgium to visit one of the new concrete gems in europe.

DIY project under one of the bridges that crosses the River Rhine in Cologne, Germany, re-started in spring 2010, and stopped by the city, perhaps temporarily, while negotiations with skaters and city officials takes place. They started to tear down the project but didn't get far, as they realized how strong the structure was built, and perhaps skateboarders working for free to build something for the "youth" community was not such a bad idea....

Filmed/Edited: Jonathan Hay / Confusion magazine

To be labeled a Dirty Ghetto Kid is one thing, to take that description of yourself and turn it into a million dollar brand and skateboard empire is something completely different. Stevie Williams never sat around feeling sorry for himself or the conditions in which he was brought up. He picked up skating around the age of 10 and by 11 he was sponsored and by 12 making money. Stevie understands the importance of what he's doing and always does his best to bring it back to the community that raised him.
