FLYING ACE - THE COMPLETE ADRIAN BUCHAN

If you were to melt Adrian Buchan down in a lab (humanely, and with his permission of course), put him in a spinning centrifuge, and turn him into some kind of powder form, you would have the blueprint for the super-human pro surfer. Under a microscope you could map the intrinsic DNA components that make up such a person; surfing dad, idyllic home location, intelligence, humility, hunger, former child prodigy, the ability to win contests, the gift to keep his head when those around him are coming apart at the seams like an old beanbag', and a titanic mass of natural ability. And on top of all this, surf fans just plain 'get him'. To use the phraseology of his NSW Central Coast homeland -- He,s just a top bloke. European media impresario Quirin Rohleder recently spent time with him and put together this glorious glimpse into the life of Ace.
