This skatepark was opened in September of 2020 in the middle of Ypsilanti's community center park. The skatepark was partly funded by the Tony Hawk Foundation who donated $250,000 dollars.
The skatepark setup is very nice. it is set up so that you skate around greenery and trees both on the inside and outside of the skatepark giving it a unique flow and mood. As you skate around the park you encounter different obstacles of different skill leves like rails, ledges, ramps, and hubbas. There is also a large bowl on one side of the skatepark.
The skatepark is open to the public from dusk to dawn.
