A documentary by Rackz Gallery & Snt4ever

On February 5th, 2025, plaza de Sants fell silent. The concrete, now broken, remains — but the soul moved elsewhere. For years, it was a meeting point. A space shaped by skateboarding and time lived outside the rules, built through noise, presence, and making things work without permission. A way of life that won’t happen again. From Rackz Gallery, alongside snt4ever, came the need to keep that story from fading. Not to frame it or sell it, but to walk alongside it and let it exist through this documentary — raw, honest, and true to what it was. Over the past months, Blai Costa stood behind the camera, capturing gestures and moments that won’t be repeated. This documentary isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about the community that claimed the space, and the memories that keep rolling, even after the spot is gone. Art will save la plaza.

https://www.instagram.com/rackz_gallery
https://www.instagram.com/snt_4_ever
https://www.instagram.com/blai_costa

More from us:
website // https://bubbleskatemag.com/
instagram // https://www.instagram.com/bubbleskatemag/
tiktok // https://www.tiktok.com/@bubbleskatemag

Filip was born on November 11, 1974, near Münster and started skateboarding in 1987. That means he has spent over 38 years on a skateboard; he has seen and experienced many turns of the carousel and the highs and lows that come with skating and life. He is one of the hardest workers I know, with a strong work ethic both on and off the board, yet he usually remains very relaxed. Along the way, he raised a family, returned to education through a second educational path, and traded the shovel for the drawing board. Today, he lives in Münster and works as a landscape architect, designing public spaces and skateparks for DSGN Concepts. Despite creating skateparks, Filip is pretty much only out there street skating. He can skate anything. He’s got some rare and mean transition tricks, but the streets are what really get his blood pumping. In our area, this usually means rugged, dirty spots with difficult approaches, which doesn’t prevent him from applying his tech steez to structures made of brick or sandstone. Injuries have been among the biggest setbacks, often accompanied by medical advice to stop skating altogether. During the filming of this part, Filip tore a tendon in his shoulder and had to undergo surgery. Nine months later, shortly after his 50th birthday, he returned and we were able to capture the final clips for this part.

– Lars Greiwe

You can check out “Dear Friends 1” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDFvbAz_D_g&list=PLHqfaiBA3L4uud3MlfA91QXnU7Ep3jsqI&index=2&t=64s

More from us:
website // https://bubbleskatemag.com/
instagram // https://www.instagram.com/bubbleskatemag/
tiktok // https://www.tiktok.com/@bubbleskatemag

French skateboarder Hugo Liard (co-founder of Antiz Skateboards) decided at some point to leave the skate industry and go back to nature. He bought some land in Evian, next to Lake Geneva and taught himself to build a house, just by watching YouTube videos and following advice from local builders. After finishing this project, he moved on to create a permaculture farm on a neighboring property. Now he lives mostly off of the vegetables he grows. We visited him to learn how he became self-sufficient – and we also squeezed in a little session at the indoor skatepark in Lausanne.

More from us:
website // https://bubbleskatemag.com/
instagram // https://www.instagram.com/bubbleskatemag/
tiktok // https://www.tiktok.com/@bubbleskatemag

Tjarks first video part after skateboarding for 15 years now, was filmed in Barcelona, Warsaw, Krakow, Copenhagen, Hamburg and in his hometown Kiel in a time span of 1,5 years. The video idea shaped itself after visiting his hometown and long term friend Timo Meier in Barcelona 2024, starting to get a fundament of footage there. Tjark was getting in contact with Frederick Schneider in BCN 24 too, with who he was finishing the project with a long trip to Poland, getting clips at the iconic looking Palas spots (looking like an American plaza in Washington or Philly) this summer and some missions in Copenhagen. Also wanting to represent his hometown Kiel, he got some clips there with the local filmer friends.

Tjark would like to thank everyone involved in the project, filmers & friends, especially the Cleptomanicx fam with Henning Tapper and Jörg Bruns. Big love to Frederick Schneider for editing the part and all his sponsors and local shop Support Skateshop for the long term support.

a video by Frederick Schneider

filmed by: Timo Meier, Frederick Schneider, Pawel Horzela, Nelles Arp, Harry Bulgrin, Frosch, Katja Michelle & Ole Schalla

titles by: Tjark Damerius

More from us:
website // https://bubbleskatemag.com/
instagram // https://www.instagram.com/bubbleskatemag/
tiktok // https://www.tiktok.com/@bubbleskatemag
